SMEs Academy Avignon, President P. Gkofas and Secretatry Gen. Mr. C. Cappellini met on October 4 th by the EU Canadian Mission Office, Mr. Dan Kelly CFIB’s President, CEO and Chair of the Board of Governors of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB). The meeting was held during a workshop promoted by EU Institutions (Economic and Social Committee Highest representatives and EU Social partners) and public/private business (UEAPME and Eurochambres) and other partners. In that framework, some collaboration opportunities were jointly explored on information exchange and smes trade practices, elaboration of joint surveys on new small business perspectives on trade for CETA monitoring and implementation and other strategic topics for SMEs from both sides. Of mutual interest, a bilateral EU- Canada joint “Memorandum of Understanding” and partnership agreements with the SMEs Academy Avignon and CFIB and their Institutional academic and research partners.
